COMMANDOS END REGULAR SEASON WITH SHUTOUT

Led by a‘team effort’ on defense, the COMMANDOSonly allowed Lebanon into HHS territory twice during the 37-0 victory.  On offense the COMMANDOS scored on 6 of their 8 possession, led by another strongperformance by #20 David Priddy who led the team with 108 rushing yards thatincluded 1 TD, and he added 26 receiving yards with a TD reception as well.

#38Shawn Bowerman would start the game with a kickoff that sailed into theendzone.  Lebanon would pick up a firstdown on their 1st offensive snap before HHS would force the firstpunt of the night after 3 more snaps. HHS would take the ball at the Lebanon 43 yard line after the punt andgo all the way to the endzone in 9 plays as #35 Believe Kabasu got the TD on a4 yard rush.  Bowerman’s PAT would makethe score 7-0.  The COMMANDOS would force a 3 and out on the ensuing possession givingHHS the ball inside Blue Devil territory again, this time at the 44 yardline.  Hendersonville could not move theball on this drive going 3 and out themselves. After the punt, penalties would plague the Blue Devils as them ended uphaving to punt from their own 6 yard line.

TheLebanon punt would be the first play 2nd quarter.  Getting the ball at the Blue Devil 29 yardline, it would only take HHS 3 plays to score as Priddy would receive a passfrom #8 Hunter Brown for the 26 yard touchdown. LHS would get 1 first down before being forced to punt.  Hendersonville would get great field positionagain, and they would add to their lead as Bowerman would come out for a 38yard field goal that would be true, putting the COMMANDOS up 17-0.  On theensuing drive, Lebanon would get the ball moving as they would drive into COMMANDO territory before HHS wouldforce the stop making LHS would punt.  Starting with their worst field position ofthe night, HHS would go 75 yards helped by a penalty before #3 LaDontez Bryantwould get a 36 yard TD reception with 26 seconds left in the half putting HHSup 24-0.  Lebanon would have one moreoffensive snap before halftime.

HHSwould add to their lead early in the 3rd quarter as Priddy would geta big run on the 9 play 72 yard drive before he would score on a 12 yardrun.  Lebanon would be forced to a 3 andout helped by #78 Brandon Bourk pressuring the quarterback forcing anincompletion.  Starting inside Blue Devilterritory again, #34 Corey Jones would get a 3rd down run down tothe 1 yard line, followed by a TD run by #29 Jarius Golden for the final scoreof the night.

Lebanonnext drive would end with them punting on the first play of the 4thquarter.  Jones would have another big 3rddown run as HHS would get inside the 5 yard line before turning the ball overon downs.  The Blue Devils would go 5plays and get a big run before the clock ran out to end the game with HHSwinning 37-0.

Hendersonville (6-4) will play in the 1st roundof the TSSAA 5A playoffs at Memorial Stadium versus the Springfield YellowJackets next Friday night with a start time of 7:00.
