What Does Commando Football Mean To You: A group of young men coming together as brothers to accomplish something great.

Jonathan was a hard worker and a great kid that always did his best during his four year career as a COMMANDO.  He started as a lineman, but ended up being the teams’ punter.  Following his senior season, Jonathan was named 1st ‘ALL-COUNTY’ as a punter and was voted by his teammates as the team’s ‘SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE YEAR’.  He was a two-sport student athlete, also competing in Track & Field while consistently being on the teams honor roll.  He won the Middle Tennessee Chapter National Football Foundation ‘SCHOLAR-ATHLETE AWARD’ for Hendersonville in 2017.  During his career, he punted the ball 40 times totaling 1,388 yards.  He is a fine young man with a great work ethic, and he will be missed by the football program.

2017-Was the teams punter for the entire season and did an excellent job changing field possession for HHS.  Was voted by his teammates as the teams ‘SPECIALTY PLAYER OF THE YEAR’ as well as being named 1st team ‘ALL-COUNTY’ as a punter.  Punted for the COMMANDOS in 9 of the teams 11 games.  Tied a career high with 5 punts versus Mt. Juliet that included his career long punt of 50 yards; also had a 50 yard punt against Rossview.  Ended the season averaging 35.5 yards per punt, netting 887 yards on 25 punts.

2016-Worked hard at practice every day and ended up being the team’s starting punter for the final 6 games of the season.  Punted 14 times totaling 471 yards with a long punt of 46 yards.  Punted against McGavock, Hillsboro, East Nashville, Station Camp, Gallatin, and Glencliff.  His longest punt of the season came against Hillsboro and went 46 yards.  Against Station Camp, he had the most punts of his career with 5 punts that totaled 181 yards of field position.

2015-Punted for the JV team, and got the opportunity to punt one time on Friday nights.  His varsity punt came in the Glencliff game and netted 30 yards.

2014-Started several games on the offensive line for the Freshman team.  He did a great job throughout the season and was very coachable.  He also played on the defensive line and wore jersey #77 for the Freshman squad.
