What Does Commando Football Mean To You: Being a family that is tough enough to overcome anything.

Blaze had a solid four year career for the COMMANDOS.  He has been a team leader from the time he was a freshman through his senior season when he was voted by his teammates as the ‘TEAM CAPTAIN’.  He was always doing what he was supposed to do to help the team and he made sure that his teammates followed his lead.  He was a linebacker on defense where he made the defensive calls, and he played guard on the offensive line.  He was also a major contributor on Special Teams.  Blaze was a special person to have in the program, and someone who always showed COMMANDO PRIDE in everything he did; he will leave some big shoes to fill as he leaves the program.

2017-Despite season ending prematurely due to injury, Blaze definitely made his presence felt on the team.  He was a starting linebacker while also seeing Friday night game action at guard on the offensive line while being a starter on Special Teams.  He was voted by his teammates as a ‘TEAM CAPTAIN’ for the season.  Ended the season with 12 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 QB hurry, and 1 fumble recovery.  Had a career high 3 tackles that included a tackle for lost yardage in the season opener against Blackman.  Also made stops versus Centennial, Station Camp, Lebanon, Wilson Central, and Gallatin.  Had another tackle for loss against Wilson Central.  His QB hurry also came in the Wilson Central game while his fumble recovery was in the Gallatin game.

2016-Saw some Friday night game action at guard on the offensive line as well as linebacker on defense.  He also played on the JV team.  Ended the season with 4 tackles.  Had a season high 2 tackles against McGavock while adding 1 versus both Glencliff and Hunters Lane.

2015-Suffered an injury that kept him sidelined for much of the season.  Once he got back on the field, he played on the JV team and saw a little Friday night action.  Recorded one tackle that came against Hunters Lane.

2014-Blaze was one of the leaders of the Freshman team.  He was a big contributor in all three phases of the game, playing linebacker on defense, offensive line, and was a critical member of several of the Special Teams units.  He led by example by working hard on the field and doing the right things off the field.  He wore jersey #54 for the Freshman team.
