What Does Commando Football Mean To You: Working hard for your teammates and giving your all.

The strongest pound for pound player on the team in 2017, Tyler was a hard worker.  Through his disciplined hard work on the track and in the weightroom, he earned his way onto the field on Friday nights, becoming a very important part of the team.  He ended his career with 20 tackles, 4 tackles for lost yardage, 3 pass break ups, and forced 1 fumble.  Ran the ball for 45 yards on 12 carries with 1 touchdown and caught 1 pass for 13 yards.  His work ethic and great attitude will be missed by the COMMANDOS.

2017-Worked his way into the rotation in the defensive secondary where he saw significant playing time throughout the season.  He was also a starter on Special Teams and played running back on offense.  Ended the season with 14 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 2 pass break ups, and 1 forced fumble.  Recorded tackles in 7 different games.  Had a career high 4 tackles in the COMMANDOS victory at Gallatin.  He added 3 tackles against Lebanon and 2 versus both Franklin and Wilson Central.  Had 1 stop versus Centennial, Station Camp, and in the 1st round of the playoffs.  His tackles for lost yardage came against Lebanon (when he had 2), Station Camp, and Wilson Central.  Forced a fumble in the Station Camp contest.  Had one pass break up against Wilson Central as well as in the 1st round of the playoffs.  He ran the ball one time during the season which was in the Station Camp game and netted 0 yards.

2016-Saw Friday night game action on both sides of the ball during the season while also playing on the JV team.  Did a good job playing some in the defensive secondary during the season ending with 5 total tackles.  Had a season high 3 tackles versus East Nashville while adding 2 against McGavock.  Ran the ball 8 times for 28 yards with 1 touchdown.  Had a career long rush of 17 yards in the East Nashville game.  His touchdown was recorded versus Glencliff.

2015-Played on the JV team and saw some game action on Friday nights.  Ended the season with 1 tackle and 1 pass break up on defense while running the ball 3 times for 17 yards.  Both his tackle and pass break up came in the Glencliff contest.  He ran the ball twice versus Glencliff for 14 yards which included his season long rush of 8 yards.  Added 1 carry versus Hunters Lane that went for 3 yards.

2014-Did a great job for the Freshman team where his versatility allowed him to see game action at fullback, strong safety, and linebacker.  He was also a major contributor on Special Teams.  He wore jersey #34 for the Freshman squad.
