What Does Commando Football Mean To You: A brotherhood that is everlasting.

Andrew is big lineman with great awareness on the field; he is a very smart player that works hard and is very coachable.  Following his junior season, he was voted by his teammates as the teams ‘MOST VALUABLE LINEMAN’, and was named 2nd team ‘ALL-COUNTY’ as an offensive lineman for his efforts during the season.  He is working hard this offseason to get into the best possible shape that he can while improving his strength and quickness.  He will return in 2018 after starting on both the offensive and defensive lines last season, with a great offseason, Andrew has the potential to be a dominating force in the trenches on both sides of the ball during the COMMANDOS 2018 campaign.  He also does his job off the field, volunteering his time to help in the community while consistently being on the teams honor roll.  He is one of the most popular kids on the team and his leadership, practice habits, and effort will have a big impact on the team’s success during his senior season.

2017-Had an excellent season for the COMMANDOS in the trenches on both sides of the ball.  Was a starter on the defensive line as well as being a starter at offensive tackle.  Was voted by his teammates as the teams ‘MOST VALUABLE LINEMAN’ for his play during the season.  He also was named 2nd team ‘ALL-COUNTY’ following the season.  He did a great job blocking on offense as he protected the quarterback while creating running lanes for Hendersonville’s rushing attack.  On defense, he ended the season with 30 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and 2 sacks.  He recorded at least one tackle in 10 of the teams 11 games.  Had a career high of 5 tackles three times during the season, recording 5 stops against Franklin, Gallatin, and Mt. Juliet.  His 5 tackles versus Franklin led the team that night and included 1 tackle for loss.  His other tackles for loss came against Blackman and Mt. Juliet.  Recorded a sack against Gallatin with his other sack coming versus Lebanon.

2016-Improved throughout the season, and ended up being a starter at tackle on the offensive line for the varsity squad.  He also saw some game action on Friday nights on the defensive line while playing on both sides of the ball for the JV team.  His blocking abilities continually improved throughout the season, and he was able to help pave the way up front for the team to move the ball.  Ended the season with 1 tackle and 1 fumble recovery.  His tackle came versus Gallatin while he recovered a fumble against Siegel.

2015-Started all season on both the offensive and defensive lines where he was one of the team’s leaders in the trenches.  He was voted by his teammates as the Freshman teams ‘MOST VALUABLE LINEMAN’ for his play throughout the season.  He came to practice every day and worked extremely hard in order to make both himself as well as his teammates better.  He wore jersey #78 during his Freshman season.
