What Does Commando Football Mean To You: COMMANDO Football is a platform to share Jesus Christ from and better myself and the people around me.

Lane is a hard working kid that has developed into one of the teams leaders over the past two seasons.  He is working hard in preparation for his senior season after have a very productive 2017 season.  He won the prestigious Allen and Brent Haag ‘COMMANDO PRIDE’ award a year ago which goes to a player that works hard and puts the team above themselves.  He is a great asset to the team and does everything with COMMANDO PRIDE; to the best of his ability and the right way as he works hard in everything that he does.  He lives his life with integrity and has the courage to stand up for what he believes in making him invaluable to his team.  He plays linebacker on defense and guard on the offensive line.  He is likely to return in 2018 as a starter on both offense and defense as well as being a critical part of the Special Teams where he has the ability to handle multiple duties.  He is having a good offseason improving his strength, size, and agility.  His leadership and play on the field will definitely have a big impact on how much success the team has this fall.

2017-Had an excellent season being a leader on the team as well as a major contributor in all three phases of the game as a starting linebacker on defense, a starting guard on the offensive line, and having several different roles as a starter on Special Teams.  At the team’s award banquet, he won the prestigious ‘COMMANDO PRIDE’ award.  On defense, he ended the season with 25 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 pass break up, 1 forced fumble, and 1 QB hurry.  Recorded at least one stop in all 11 games during the season, had a season best 4 tackles twice during the season, having 4 against both Station Camp and Beech.  His tackles for loss came against Station Camp and Rossview.  He forced a fumble in the Centennial game, and his QB hurry came against Gallatin.  His pass break up was made versus Mt. Juliet.  Did a great job playing on the offensive line where he helped open holes for the COMMANDO rushing attack.

2016-Played on the JV team while also seeing some playing time for the varsity team on the offensive line at guard and at linebacker.  He was also a contributor for the Special Teams units.  Ended the season with 9 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and 1 pass break up.  Recorded 1 tackle against McGavock and Hillsboro while having a career high 7 tackles versus Glencliff when he led the team in tackles.  His tackle for loss came in the Glencliff game while his pass break up was versus Hunters Lane.  Wore jersey #64 during the season.

2015-Started at guard and played a lot at linebacker on defense for the Freshman team.  Had a good season helping the Freshman team to a 5-2 record.  He was one of the team’s leaders with his work ethic and effort in practice.  Wore jersey #52 during the Freshman season.
