What Does Commando Football Mean To You: Giving your all for your brothers all the time.

One of the hardest working, most coachable kids on the team, Austin is a lineman for the COMMANDOS on both sides of the ball that has the potential to be a dominating player.  He has been a starter in the trenches and will return for his senior season in 2018 where he is likely to be a starter and should be a leader up front.  He is a three sport athlete and is working hard this offseason to improve his agility and strength.  He works hard in everything he does, consistently being on the teams honor roll as well as always being willing to help in his community.  He should be a team leader and his attitude and play will have a major impact on how successful the team is during the 2018 campaign.

2017-Had another excellent season in the trenches.  Was a crucial member of the offensive line being the team’s starting center during the season.  He helped lead the team in the trenches as he helped pave the way for the COMMANDOS rushing attack as well as doing a great job in pass protections.  He also saw significant time on the defensive line and finished the season on defensive with 17 tackles, 0.5 sacks, 1 pass knock down, and 1 fumble recovery.  Had a career high 3 tackles twice during the season making those stops versus Franklin and Mt. Juliet.  Recorded tackles in 8 different games during the season.  His half sack came versus Station Camp and he knocked down a pass against Franklin.  He recovered a fumble in the Mt. Juliet game.

2016-Had a very productive season in the trenches during his sophomore season.  After working his way into the rotation on Friday nights on both the offensive and defensive lines, he had to miss several games due to injury.  He worked hard and was able to return to the field helping the team in the last two games of the season.  In addition to getting reps on Friday nights, he also played in the JV games where he was able to improve.  Ended the season with 4 tackles for the varsity team, recording 1 in the games against East Nashville, Station Camp, Glencliff, and Hunters Lane.

2015-One of the hardest workers on the Freshman team, Austin was a starter on both sides of the ball in the trenches for the Freshman team.  He was one of the team’s leaders on the line and he showed up for practice every day ready to work and get better.  He wore jersey #50 during his Freshman year.
