What Does Commando Football Mean To You: Winning football games and being mentally and physically tough.

Ashton is a kicker that has huge potential and a very strong leg.  He handled all of the teams kicking duties last season and is likely to return in 2018 to take care of all of the kicking and could add punting into his workload this fall.  He is having a good offseason improving his overall strength and should be ready to have a big 2018 season.  He finished 2017 making 26 consecutive extra points while connecting on half of his field goal attempts.  He should help make the COMMANDOS Special Teams very good this fall.

2017-Handled all of the kicking duties for the team for the entire season including kickoffs, PAT’s, and field goals.  Was consistent all season long with his kickoffs.  Connected on 2 of his 4 attempted field goals during the season with his long being a 39 yard field goal in the Rossview game, his other made field goal was a 23 yard field goal against Franklin.  Made at least 1 extra point in all 11 games making his 1st 18 attempts as well as finishing the season making his last 26 PAT’s with his only missed extra points coming against Station Camp on a rainy night.  Finished the season with 43 made PAT’s on 45 attempts.

2016-Took care of the kickoffs for the team throughout the season, and during the 2nd half of the season also kicked extra points and field goals.  He finished the season making 16 of his 17 PAT’s while going a perfect 4 for 4 on field goals.  He made his first extra point against Hillsboro, and connected on his last 13 tries.  Kicked 2 field goals versus Gallatin, and added 1 against Station Camp while having a career long 44 yard field goal in the game against East Nashville.  He had 1 tackle during the season and it came in the Gallatin game.

2015-Was consistent throughout the Freshman team’s season as the kicker.  He was voted by his teammates as the ‘MOST VALUABLE SPECIALTY PLAYER’ for the season.  He did a great job being reliable and ready to do his job.  He had a very strong leg which was an important weapon for the Freshman team and was critical in the team’s success during the season.  Wore jersey #33 during his Freshman season.
