What Does Commando Football Mean To You: A group of brothers coming together as a family every Friday night.

Dalton is a returning player that is expected to be one of the team’s leaders for the 2018 season.  He was named to the ‘ALL-REGION’ team in 2017 as well as being 2nd team ‘ALL-COUNTY’ as a defensive lineman.  Had a good season in all three phase of the game during the 2017 campaign helping HHS return to the playoffs after the team missed the post season in 2016.  Dalton has the athletic ability to play multiple positions on both sides of the ball along with the ability to play various positions on every Special Team.  On offense, he can play running back or tight end and spent most of last season at tight end where he did a great job blocking as well as being a threat receiving.  On defensive, he can play linebacker, defensive end, or defensive line.  With his versatility, he should help lead the 2018 team and be an impact player during the upcoming season.

2017-Had a productive season on both sides of the ball and was a starter on Special Teams.  Earned ‘ALL-REGION’ honors for his efforts during the season and was named 2nd team ‘ALL-COUNTY’ as a defensive lineman.  Although he mainly played defensive line and tight end, he has the ability to play other positions on either side of the ball and spent some time at linebacker on defense and fullback on offense.  Ended the season with 34 tackles, 6 QB hurries, 4 tackles for loss, 1 pass knock down, and 0.5 sacks.  Had tackles in 9 of the team 11 games.  His career high of 7 tackles came versus Rossview.  His half sack was against Mt. Juliet, had 2 tackles for lost yardage against Beech and added 1 against both Wilson Central and Rossview.  His pass knock down came against Mt. Juliet.  Recorded 2 QB pressures against Wilson Central and in the team’s playoff game, other hurries came against Lebanon and Franklin.  On offense, he ran the ball twice for 4 yards and caught 1 pass for 6 yards.  Ran the ball against Blackman and Mt. Juliet with his long rush of the season being a 4 yard run against MJHS.  His reception was good for 6 yards and came in the Wilson Central game.

2016-Hapered by injuries throughout the season, he was unable to earn consistent playing time on Friday nights, but did find his way on the field when healthy.  Ended the season with 5 rushing attempts for 23 yards and 1 touchdown while recording 1 tackle on defense.  Had rushing attempts against Siegel and McGavock.  His score came in the Siegel game and his longest rush of 11 yards was against McGavock.  His lone tackle was made versus East Nashville.  He also played on the JV team.

2015-Dalton was a physical presence on the Freshman team that was a starter at linebacker where was the leader on the field for the defense.  He also was a starter on Special Teams and saw plenty of game action at fullback.  He had a very productive season and had a lot to do with the Freshman team’s success.  He worked hard, listened to coaching, and showed up ready to play on game days.  He wore jersey #15 for the Freshman squad.
