Julian worked very hard in the off season leading to his senior year, and the hard work paid off as he helped his team make it the State Championship game. Julian’s commitment to the weightroom made him one of the strongest skill position players that the COMMANDOS had. He became a starter on defense his senior year, and did an excellent job in the secondary. He was also a Split End for the COMMANDOS where he saw limited game action. He ended career with 41 tackles (3 of which were for loss), 1 interception, 11 pass break-ups, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 reception for 18 yards.
2010-Julian made the move from Free Safety to Cornerback for the 2010 campaign. After seeing very little game action in the first 4 games, Julian started the last 11 games of the season at cornerback. Ended season with 34 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 10 pass break-ups, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 interception. Also had 1 reception for 18 yards. Had a career high 7 tackles in the teams overtime win versus Beech. Also recorded 1 tackle for loss and 1 pass break-up in that game. Recorded tackles in 10 of the teams 15 games, and defended passes in 7 games. His interception came in the COMMANDOS Quarterfinal victory over Northeast at Memorial Stadium, and fumble recovery was in the Semi-Final game at Ridgeway. Had a career best 3 pass break-ups in the regular season game against Gallatin. His lone reception came in the season opener against Riverdale.
2009-Drew a couple of starts at Free Safety, and saw game action on defense or offense in every game. Ended season with 7 tackles, one of which was for loss and 1 pass defended. Had a season high 5 tackles in the Portland game, recorded 2 tackles in the Hunters Lane game, and had his break up in the Station Camp game. Also played on the JV team.
