What Does Commando Football Mean To You: It means working hard to reach a goal that everyone strives for.

A gifted lineman, Curtis had the ability to dominate games from his defensive line position.  He was capable of playing any of the defensive line positions for the COMMANDOS, and was named ‘1st Team All-County’ in 2011.  Was one of the biggest and strongest players on the team with maxes totaling well over the 1,000 lb mark.  Was a crucial part of the teams’ playoff success in 2010 & 2011.  Ended career with 88 tackles, 5 sacks, 5 tackles for loss, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery, 10 QB hurries, and 2 pass knock downs.

2011-Started on the defensive line where he was the teams’ most dominating player and he provided depth on the offensive line.  Had 68 tackles which was the 6th most on the team.  Was named ‘1st Team All-County’ for his efforts on the defensive line.  In addition to his 68 tackles, he had 5 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, 7 QB hurries, 1 forced fumble, and 2 pass knock downs.  Was a great asset for the COMMANDO defense because he could force teams to run the ball only to one side when he was playing well.  Led the team in tackles with a career high of 14 (1 of which was for loss) in the Germantown game; also led the team with 12 tackles in the 2nd Round playoff game versus Gallatin where he also had 2 sacks, 1 tackle for loss, and 1 QB hurry.  Forced a fumble and had a sack in the Riverdale game.  Had tackles for loss against Germantown, Beech, Springfield, Gallatin (playoff), and Beech (playoff).  Had QB hurries versus Franklin, Wilson Central, Riverdale, Springfield, and Gallatin (playoff).  Knocked down pass attempts versus Springfield and Beech (playoff).  Recorded 26 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, 1 QB hurry, and 2 pass knock downs in the teams 4 playoff games.

2010-Played predominately on the defensive line and was a starter for multiple games.  Ended season with 18 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 QB hurries, and 1 fumble recovery.  Recorded a season high 5 tackles in the teams 24-21 Quarterfinal victory over Clarksville Northeast.  Had 1 tackle in each of the COMMANDOS other 4 playoff games; also had a hurry against Ridgeway.  Sacks were recorded against Hunters Lane and Station Camp.  Fumble recovery was versus Portland where he also had 4 tackles.

2009-Played on the JV team.  Saw limited game action as a reserve lineman on both offense and defense.  Ended season with 2 tackles both came in the Station Camp game.

2008-Wore jersey #76 and played on both the Offensive and Defensive Line for the Freshman team.
