What Does Commando Football Mean To You: Learning to become a man and building new relationships with your teamates.

Voted by his teammates as a ‘Team Captain’ during his senior year, Chauncey was well respected and a leader for the COMMANDOS.  Was critical to the defense as he made all of the calls in 2011, and ended up as the 3rd leading tackler with 94 tackles.  His efforts also got him named to the ‘All-District’ team and ‘2nd Team All-County’ in 2011.  Played some important minutes at Tight End on offense after being moved there from Running Back for his senior season.  Ended career with 125 tackles, 0.5 sacks, 1 interception, 7 tackles for loss, 1 forced fumble, 8 QB hurries, and 7 pass break ups.  Also had 3 carries for 7 yards.  His leadership and ability to get the defense lined up correctly will be difficult to replace.

2011-Started at Linebacker and was the leader of the defense.  He made all of the calls defensive calls and ensured that our team was lined up correctly.  He also played some at Tight End on the offensive side of the ball and was on the Special Teams.  Was voted ‘Team Captain’ by his teammates, and was also a member of the ‘All-District’ team as well as being ‘2nd Team All-County’.  Was the teams' 3rd leading tackler for the season with 94 tackles and was the teams leading tackler in 3 different games.  Also had 7 tackles for loss, 1 interception, 1 forced fumble, 7 QB hurries, and 4 pass break ups.  Recorded at least 3 tackles in every game.  Was the team’s leading tackler against Franklin and Riverdale with a career high of 10 tackles; also was the top tackler versus Wilson Central with 8.  Tied career best of 10 tackles during the regular season match up with Beech.  His interception came in the quarterfinal victory over Beech when he also had 1 pass break up and 6 tackles.  Forced fumble came in the Franklin game.  Recorded tackles for loss versus Station Camp, Wilson Central, Portland, Riverdale, Beech, Lebanon, and Henry County.

2010-Was the teams 3rd Linebacker, and saw plenty of game action on defense despite missing several games due to injury.  Got some playing time on the Special Teams as well, and was a reserve running back.  Ended season with 24 tackles.  Had tackles in 9 different games.  Also had 0.5 sacks, and 2 pass break ups.  Carried the ball 2 times on offense for 5 yards, both carries came in the Lebanon game when he also had 6 tackles and 1 pass break up.  Recorded a season best 7 tackles in the COMMANDOS homecoming victory over LaVergne.  Also had a pass break up in that game.   His half sack came in the 1st Round playoff game against Gallatin, and he tallied 1 tackle in the State Championship game.

2009-Played on both the Varsity and JV team.  Was a starter on special teams, and a reserve player on offense and defense.  Saw action on Friday nights in multiple games, ended season with 7 tackles 1 QB hurry, and 1 pass break up on defense.  Had a season high 4 tackles against Station Camp, and recorded tackles in both the Lebanon and Portland games.  His pass break up came against Portland, and his QB hurry was in the Lebanon games.  Had 1 rushing attempt that went for 2 yards in the Lebanon game.

2008-Member of the Freshman team.  Started every game at Offensive Guard and Linebacker.  Wore #55 for the Freshman squad, and was voted by his teammates as the teams 'Most Valuable Lineman'.
