What Does Commando Football Mean To You: Everything, it's pretty much my life. I've made a commitment to it.

Chris was a strong, powerful back whose power running will be missed by the COMMANDOS.  He was very hard to bring down and had an excellent career running the football.  He also helped his team by playing some on the defensive line in 2010.  In the weightroom, Chris was in the 1,000 lb. club and had the teams’ top squat lifting well over 400 lbs.  Ended career with 153 rushing attempts for 774 yards and 13 TD’s.  Had 3 receptions for 9 yards and 2 more touchdowns, while accounting for 9 tackles, 0.5 sacks, and 1 fumble recovery on defense.  Did a great job as a leader for the team on and off the field which helped the COMMANDOS make it to their 3rd State Championship game appearance.

2010-Was a starter in the offensive backfield and saw some game time on the defensive line.  Carried the ball at least 3 times in all 15 games.  Ended season with 104 rushes for 535 yards and 7 touchdowns.  Had 2 receptions for 2 yards and 1 TD.  Also recorded 9 tackles, 0.5 sacks, and 1 fumble recovery.  Led team in rushing yards against Station Camp with 59 yards.  Had a career best 68 yards in the 1st Round Playoff game versus Gallatin.  Scored touchdowns against Riverdale, Lebanon, LaVergne, Hunters Lane, Wilson Central, and Gallatin.  Career long rush of 36 yards came in the Hunters Lane game.  Had a career high 4 tackles in Riverdale game including a fumble recovery.  His half sack came against LaVergne.  Also had tackles in games versus Mt. Juliet, Portland, Henry County, and Clarksville Northeast.

2009-Was a starter at Running Back and carried the football in all 11 of the teams games.  Finished the season with 239 rushing yards on 49 carries with 6 touchdowns.  Led team in rushing with 58 yards against Lebanon including a career long rush of 32 yards also had 2 TD's in that game.  Scored touchdowns against Riverdale, Lebanon, Station Camp, Portland, Gallatin, and had a receiving TD in the COMMANDOS playoff game against Clarksville Northeast.  The receiving TD was his only reception of the year and was good for 7 yards.

2008-Was not eligible to play because he was transfer student. Started working out with the team over the summer. Even though he was ineligible, Chris kept a good attitude at practice and helped his team to the Region 5 Championship.  Was able to learn a lot about both offense and defense through valuable practice time.

-Older brother Anthony Moore played for HHS and graduated in 2007
