What Does Commando Football Mean To You: Hard Work!

Jackson came on as a Senior to have a very good season for the COMMANDOS.  He was a 4 year player that worked very hard throughout his career which led to his success as a Senior.  Was the team’s leading receiver in both receptions and receiving yards in 2012.  Ended career with 14 receptions for 221 yards and 2 touchdowns, 30 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 1 interception, 13 pass break ups, and 1 kickoff return for 2 yards.  In addition to starting on both offense and defense his Senior season; he was also a player on Special Teams.

2012-Had a very productive season on both sides of the ball, starting at Split End and Cornerback.  He was also a member of several Special Team units.  Led team in receptions with 14, receiving yards with 221, and TD receptions (2).  He caught the most passes in a game 5 different times during the season (Franklin, Germantown, Portland, Gallatin, and Mt. Juliet), and was the team leader in receiving yards 3 times (Franklin, Beech, and Gallatin).  His career high in both receptions and receiving yards came in the Gallatin game when he had 5 catches for 92 yards including 1 touchdown.  His other TD was his career long reception of 46 yards and was against Beech.  On defense, he ended season with 29 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 11 pass break ups, and 1 interception.  Recorded tackles in 8 games, and had pass break ups in 6 games.  His interception came in the Beech game.  Had a career high 9 tackles, including 1 for lost yardage, against Gallatin, and a career high of 3 pass break ups in both the Gallatin and Riverdale games.  His kickoff return was in the Lebanon game and went for 2 yards.

2011-Played on the JV team and saw limited game action on Friday nights.  Had 1 pass break up that came in the 1st Round of the TSSAA 5A playoffs versus Springfield.

2010-Played on the JV team and saw some snaps for the Varsity.  Recorded 1 tackle in the Lebanon game, and had a pass break up versus Hunters Lane.

2009-Member of the Freshman team who came up with some big plays down the stretch of the season for the Freshman team.  Wore #20 for the Freshman Squad.
