What Does Commando Football Mean To You: Hard work and dedication. Something that will stick with you for the rest of your life.

Brandon was a 4 year player for Hendersonville, and he was a 2 way starter for both his Junior and Senior seasons.  He also saw significant playing time on the Defensive Line during his Sophomore year helping the team to a State Championship appearance.  He was a very hard worker who was committed to improving himself in the weightroom.  He was one of the teams’ strongest players, and broke the Iron Bunker as well as the Lift-A-Thon records for both the Bench Press as well as the Incline Press prior to his Senior year.  He ended his career with 85 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 6 QB pressures, 3 tackles for loss, 1 pass break up, and 2 forced fumbles.  He was named honorable mention ‘All-County’ in 2012 and 2nd Team ‘All-County’ in 2011.  In addition to his work in weightroom and on the field, Brandon was dedicated in the classroom; he was a regular on the teams’ Honor Roll.  It will be a challenge for the COMMANDOS to replace his presence in the trenches, work ethic, and commitment to improving.

2012-Had a tough offseason, recovering from an injury suffered in 2011, but kept working, and had a solid season in the trenches on both sides of the ball.  Started most games on both sides of the ball at Tackle on offense as well as on defense.  Ended season 5th on the team with 41 tackles, and had 2 sacks, 2 tackles for loss, 2 QB hurries, and 1 blocked punt.  Recorded at least 2 tackles in every game throughout the season and led the team in tackles against Riverdale with 6.  Tied a career high with 7 tackles in the Gallatin game, 2 of which were for loss.  Had 1 sack against both Riverdale and Portland.  Both of his QB pressures were recorded in the Portland contest.  He also scored 2 points on a safety for the COMMANDOS as he blocked a punt against Wilson Central that went out of the back of the endzone.  He was named honorable mention ‘All-County’ for his efforts throughout the season.

2011-Started on both sides of the both in the trenches.  Was consistent all year at Tackle on offense, and had a solid season on the Defensive Line.  Was named ‘2nd Team All-County’.  Ended season with 39 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 2 forced fumbles, 1 sack, 2 QB hurries, and 1 pass knock down.  He was one of the teams’ top defenders, and his importance to the team was evident in the semifinal game against Henry County as the teams play suffered after Brandon had to leave the game with an injury.  Recorded a career high 7 tackles against Germantown.  His sack and tackle for loss both came in the season opener against Station Camp when he also forced a fumble.  His other forced fumble was in the quarterfinal playoff game versus Beech.  Knocked down a pass attempt against Lebanon, and recorded QB hurries in the Lebanon and Beech (playoffs) games.  Recorded at least 1 tackle in 13 of the teams 14 games.

2010-Worked into the rotation on a very experienced defensive line, and was a reserve offensive lineman.  Ended season with 5 tackles, 0.5 sacks, and 2 hurries.  Had tackles against Riverdale, Lebanon, Hunters Lane, Beech, and Gallatin.  His half sack came in the playoff game against Gallatin where he also had 1 hurry.  Also recorded 1 QB hurry in the State Championship game.  Was member of JV squad as well.

2009-Had an excellent year on the field as a member of the Freshman team that ended the season 6-2.  Was the team’s starting Right Tackle on offense, and a starter a Defensive End.  Wore #50 for the Freshman team.
