Austin became a great back for the COMMANDOS his senior year.  Was starting fullback in both his Junior and Senior season.  Lead team in rushing his senior year with 807 yards on 129 carries.  Ended his career with 1,265 rushing yards, and 7 touchdowns.  Was also a starter on defense for the last 8 games of senior year at cornerback, finished career with 60 total tackles and 1 interception.  Voted by his teammates as a 'Team Captain' for his senior year as well as the teams 'Most Valuable Player'.  Was also selected to the All-District team for 2009, and was a 1st team selection on the All-County team.

2009-Was teams leading rusher in 6 of last 7 games and lead team in rushing in 7 games total for season.  Was also leading rusher for the season with 807 yards.  Career high rushing came in homecoming game versus Hunters Lane as he had 135 yards rushing and 2 TD's; also had 3 tackles and 1 pass break up in that game.  Had his career long run of 43 yards in victory over Gallatin.  Also scored TD in Lebanon game.  Was teams leading rushing in the following games: Riverdale, Hunters Lane, Wilson Central, Portland, Beech, Gallatin, and Northeast.  Had a career long 19 yard reception in win at Lebanon.  Recorded his career high 8 tackles and 1 pass defended in overtime win at Wilson Central.  Also returned 8 kickoffs for 211 yards, with his longest being a 55 yarder against Wilson Central.  Recorded tackles in 10 of 11 games for the COMMANDOS.

2008-Rejoined team in December after not playing his sophomore season.  Missed spring practice because he is also a member of the HHS baseball team.  Had 458 rushing yards, and was starter at Fullback.  Played as backup at Defensive Back.  Recorded 14 tackles; only career interception came against Hillwood.  Scored touchdowns against Hillwood, Glencliff, Antioch, and Overton.  Lead team in 24-21 win over Gallatin with 85 rushing yards which was his season high.  Also had his career long run against the Green Wave with a 29 yard rush.

2007-Did not play.

2006-Was a standout player at Running Back and Defensive Back for the Freshman COMMANDOS.
