LaDontez was an extraordinary running back for the COMMANDOS throughout his career.  He was a triple threat for HHS as he was great at rushing, receiving, and returning the football.  He was voted by his teammates as the teams ‘Most Valuable Back’ after each season that he played.  Came back to have a great senior season; helping team get to the semifinals after having to miss his entire junior season.  He was also voted to the 1st Team ‘All County’ team in 2011.  Ended his career with 1,370 rushing yards on 166 carries with 18 touchdowns as well as having 18 receptions for 451 yards and 4 TD’s.  Had 14 kick returns for 359 yards and 10 punt returns for 93 yards.  Has the longest rush in school history with a 92 yard TD run versus Station Camp in 2009 and also has the 5th longest in school history with a 76 yard TD run versus LaVergne in 2009.  Has the most receiving yards in a game in school history with 141 receiving yards versus Riverdale in 2011.  Is 2nd in history with a career rushing average of 8.3 yards per carry.  2nd in history with 4 TD’s in a game as he had 4 rushing TD’s versus Springfield in the 1st Round of the 2011 TSSAA 5A playoffs.  Has the 3rd longest pass play in school history with an 80 yard catch and run versus Franklin, and is 4th in history on the list of TD’s in a season with 15 during 2011.  His big play ability as well as being a threat on special teams will be greatly missed by the COMMANDOS.

2011-Had a great senior season on the offensive side of the ball, did a good job on defense, and was great in special teams.  Led team in rushing 4 different times, led team in receiving 4 different times, and scored touchdowns in 10 games.  He was a dangerous player because of his ability to score every time he touched the ball.  Was voted the teams ‘Most Valuable Back’ as well as being named ‘1st Team All County’.  Ended season with 802 yards rushing with 11 touchdowns, and had 18 catches for 451 yards and 4 more TD’s.  Led team in rushing with 88 yards versus Station Camp, 92 yards against Germantown, 98 versus Beech, and 118 versus Beech (Quarterfinal game).  Had a career high 160 rushing yards including 4 TD’s in the 1st Round of the playoffs versus Springfield.  Led team in receiving yards with 141 versus Riverdale as well having the most receiving yards versus Beech, Lebanon, and Gallatin (2nd  Round game).  Scored touchdowns versus Station Camp, Franklin (2), Wilson Central, Germantown, Riverdale (2), Beech, Lebanon, Springfield (4), Gallatin (playoff), and Beech (playoff).  Led team in both rushing and receiving versus Beech in the regular season and had 118 rushing yards against them in the playoffs.

2010-Did not play, but stayed with team and practiced most of the season.

2009-Won the teams ‘Most Valuable Back’ award as voted on by his teammates.  Broke the HHS school record for longest rush in a season with his 92 yard TD versus Station Camp.  Also had the 5th longest rush in school history with a 76 yarder versus LaVergne.  Ended season averaging 14.9 yard per carry on his 38 rushes for 568 yards and 7 TD’s.  Also saw some game action on defense and as a punt returner as well as playing on the JV team.

2008-Was important member of the Freshman squad, started on both sides of the ball and won the teams ‘Most Valuable Back’ award.
