What Does Commando Football Mean To You: Everything, I eat, sleep, breathe Commando Football. I love it.

Jon was a very smart player who could play any position in the offensive backfield including quarterback.  Was a leader for his team during senior season.  Ended his career with 272 rushing yards including 3 TD's, and 35 tackles as well as 1 interception.  Was selected to the 2nd team All-County team for 2009.  Won the prestigious 'COMMANDO PRIDE' award as senior.

2009-Helped lead team to first back to back playoff appearances since 2002-2003.  Started at running back and was the emergency quarterback on offense, and started at strong safety on defense.  Also played on most of the special teams units.  Recorded 33 tackles on defense with 1 interception, 1 tackle for loss, and 9 passes defended.  Had career high 6 tackles in the Gallatin and Northeast games.  Interception came in victory over Hunters Lane.  Also, carried the ball 44 times for 192 yards and 1 TD and had 4 receptions for 32 yards.  Career long rush was a 40 yard touchdown in opening game against Riverdale, also had his career long reception of 15 yards in that game.  Jon also had 8 kickoff returns for 136 yards.

2008-He was moved to Quarterback during spring practice for depth and moved back to Running Back in the fall, but was still HHS's emergency Quarterback.  Also moved from Linebacker to Strong Safety.  Had to miss 2nd half of season after suffering injury during JV game.  Before injury was an important part of the COMMANDO Special Teams; also saw game action at both Running Back and Strong Safety.  Recorded 2 total tackles on defense.  Had 80 total rushing yards.  Scored touchdowns against Dickson County and Hillwood.  Had season long rush of 16 yards in 30-14 victory over Dickson County.

2007-Moved from DB and saw game action at Linebacker.  Also moved from Quarterback to Running Back.  Played in all JV games.

2006-Was Starting Quarterback for Freshman team.  Also saw playing time at Defensive Back.
