What Does Commando Football Mean To You: Working hard at everything you do to become part of a brotherhood that nobody can break.

Drew was a four year player for the COMMANDOS where he was a two year starter on Special Teams and did a great job in 2014 at split end.  He helped his team win a District 9-AAA crown during his senior season, as well as a class 6A State Championship Game appearance during his junior year.  On defense he played in the secondary.  Ended career with 6 receptions for 80 yards, 3 tackles, 2 pass break ups and 1 tackle for loss.  He was a hard worker and improved in each of his four season with the team.  He was also an excellent student and was consistently on the teams honor roll for doing his best in the classroom.

2014-Steped up and was able to be a critical member of the receiver group.  Worked hard throughout the season and ended up starting several games at split end for the COMMANDOS, helping the team to a record breaking season on the offensive side of the ball as well as earning a District 9-AAA title.  Did a great job blocking from his split end position, and also grabbed 6 receptions for 80 yards.  Led team with 2 receptions for 35 yards in the team’s 28-27 victory against Beech including a career long catch that went for 26 yards.  He also caught balls against Hunters Lane and Portland in the regular season, and had 2 receptions for 19 yards in the 2nd round of the playoffs.  He was also a starter on Special Teams for the 2nd consecutive season.

2013-Improved throughout the season.  Was a starter on Special Teams and helped the team make a State Championship Game appearance.  He also saw some action on Friday nights at Free Safety as well as Split End.  Ended season with 2 tackles, 2 pass break ups, and 1 tackle for loss.  His tackle for loss came against Hunters Lane, while his other tackle was in the Mt. Juliet game.  Had 1 pass break up against both Riverdale and Mt. Juliet.  He additionally played in all of the JV games. 

2012-Saw limited game action for the varsity, and played in all of the JV games.  Ended season with 1 tackle that was recorded in the Germantown game.

2011-Saw playing time at Split End throughout the Freshman season.  Also, played on a number of the Special Teams.  Wore jersey #40 for the freshman.
