What Does Commando Football Mean To You: Working in unison to compete at the highest level possible. Being a brotherhood.

A two time ‘SCOUT TEAM AWARD’ winner, Drew’s love for his team showed every day at practice as he was one of the hardest workers on the team.  He was a two sport athlete that worked just as hard in the classroom as he did on the field.  He was consistently on the teams honor roll and came to practice every day with a great attitude and a willingness to work hard and get better.  He played quarterback and defensive end during his time at HHS.  Ended his career with 1 completed pass on 2 attempts for 25 yards and 1 touchdown.  He rushed the ball 3 times for (-1) yards, and recorded 4 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 tackle for loss.  His team first attitude, work ethic, and love for his teammates is what being a part of the COMMANDO program is all about.

2015-Had a good senior season helping the team to 10 wins.  He was a backup quarterback that prepared himself every week and was ready to do whatever was needed to help his team.  He saw some Friday night game action at both quarterback as well as at defensive end.  He ended the season with 3 rushes for (-1) yards, and had 3 tackles with 1 of them being for lost yardage.  All three of his tackles came in the Glencliff game.  He had 2 rushing attempts against Hillsboro and added another one versus Gallatin.

2014-Worked hard every day at practice and got better throughout the season.  He won the teams ‘Scout Team Award’ for the 2nd consecutive season as he was a major factor in the team being able to win a District 9-AAA crown.  He also played on the JV team while seeing limited game action on both offense and defense.  Ended the season passing for 25 yard and 1 touchdown with 1 completion on 2 attempts while having 1 sack on defense.  His incompletion came in the Lebanon game, and his touchdown pass was in the Gallatin game.  His sack came against Portland.

2013-Drew had a major impact on the teams’ ability to make an appearance in the TSSAA class 6A State Championship Game.  He played on the JV team where he was able to get better all season long, but his biggest contributions came in practice where he showed up everyday with a great attitude and willingness to work hard to get better.  He also made his teammates better by the way that he practiced.  For his efforts, he won the ‘Scout Team Award’ which was voted on by his teammates.

2012-A very smart player for the Freshman squad, the coaches knew that Drew could be put in at any time in any situation, and he would be able to get the job done even if he did not start the game.  He was also a critical member of all of the Special Teams units, and his play and commitment to the team helped the Freshman end the season with a perfect 9-0 record.  He wore jersey #10 for the undefeated Freshman team.
