What Does Commando Football Mean To You: To come together as a family, and to always give your all in everything you do.

Caleb had a solid four year career for the COMMANDOS.  He played a major role in the defensive backfield during both his junior and senior seasons, and was also a starter at split end on offense as well as multiple spots on Special Teams.  Part of his Special Teams duties was to serve as the team’s holder for extra points as well as field goals which is a critical job to have.  Ended his career with 30 tackles, 9 pass break ups, 1 tackle for loss, and 1 interception.  Completed 1 pass on 2 attempts with a 2 point conversion along with an interception thrown.  Caleb was a two sport athlete, doing a great job on the football field as well as on the track as a member of the track & field team.  Caleb showed great versatility as a player, being able to play multiple positions in the defensive backfield.  He also showed great resolve as he battled through injuries throughout his career.  His awareness on the field, leadership, and work ethic will be hard to replace.

2015-Was a major factor for the COMMANDOS in all three phases of the game.  Playing in the defensive secondary, split end on offense, and started on several of the teams Special Teams units.  Part of his responsibilities on Special Teams was to be the holder for extra points as well as field goals; with that he attempted 2 passes, 1 was an interception and the other was good for a converted 2 point try that came in the team’s 1st round playoff victory over Shelbyville.  Ended the season with 13 tackles and 2 pass break ups.  Recorded stops in 10 of the team’s 12 games.  His pass break ups came against Siegel and Shelbyville.  Mainly saw action at free safety, but also played some at cornerback as well as nickelback.  His ability to play multiple positions in the defensive backfield was a big help to the COMMANDO defense.  He also saw a lot of game action at split end where he did a great job blocking helping the COMMANDO rushing attack.

2014-Saw significant game action in the defensive secondary starting several games throughout the season as well as being a starter on Special Teams; he also battled injuries during the season that forced him to miss some time.  Ended the season with 16 tackles, 7 pass break ups, 1 tackle for loss, and 1 interception.  Recorded tackles in 8 different games throughout the season as he helped the team to a District 9-AAA Championship.  Had a career high 3 tackles twice during the season versus Wilson Central and Station Camp.  His tackle for lost yardage and his interception came in the team’s season opening 45-7 victory at Wilson Central where he also broke up 1 pass.  Recorded a career high 4 pass break ups versus Brentwood and added 1 pass break up against Riverdale and Station Camp.  Had 1 punt return that was good for 35 yards in the Hunters Lane game.  He also was in the rotation at split end on offense.

2013-Played on the JV team, and saw limited action on Friday nights as he battled through injuries during the season.  Recorded 1 tackle that came in the Mt. Juliet game.

2012-Caleb is a fun player to coach, and he was one those players that truly got better throughout the season.  By the end of the year he was in the defense backfield rotation and started in all dime and nickel packages.  On offense, he worked his way into the rotation at Split End.  Caleb was also a valuable member of all of the Special Teams units.  He wore jersey # 11 for the Freshman, and helped them to the 1st ever undefeated season in school history.
