What Does Commando Football Mean To You: Sacrificing your time and effort for this school, community, and most importantly this team.

JMO had a great career for the COMMANDOS.  He was the starting quarterback for the Freshman team in 2012 where he led them to an undefeated season, he also started several games at quarterback during his senior season, helping the team to a 10 win season while also getting some game action at defensive back.  He won the ‘COMMANDO PRIDE’ award for his commitment to the team in 2015, and also won the freshman team’s ‘MOST VALUABLE PALYER’ award in 2012.  Ended his career 4/12 passing for 47 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 interception, had 18 rushing attempts for 17 yards and 2 touchdowns, while recording 7 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 3 pass break ups, and 1 forced fumble.  His unselfish play and commitment to his team will be missed by the program.

2015-Won the ‘COMMANDO PRIDE’ award for his efforts, unselfish play, and commitment to the team.  Started the first 4 games of the season at quarterback, leading the team to a perfect 4-0 record while also seeing some game action in the defensive backfield.  Threw a 6 yard touchdown pass versus McGavock and had 32 passing yards in the team’s 30-16 victory over Beech.  Rushed the ball in 7 different games.  Tied his career long rush of 7 yards three times during the season, having a 7 yard rush against Siegel, Cane Ridge, and Glencliff.  Scored rushing TD’s versus Beech and Glencliff.  Ended the season with 2 tackles both of which came in the team’s 42-14 win against Gallatin.

2014-Played on the JV team while seeing a little game action on Friday nights for the District 9-AAA Champion COMMANDOS.  Ended season with 5 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 3 pass break ups, and 1 forced fumble.  Also ran the ball 2 times for (-2) yards.  Recorded 1 tackle against Lebanon, Gallatin, Portland, Station Camp, and Independence.  His tackle for lost yardage came in the Lebanon contest.  Recorded 2 pass break ups against Brentwood and added 1 versus Mt. Juliet.  His forced fumble was in the team’s 44-0 victory over Station Camp.  Ran the ball from his quarterback position once against Wilson Central that went for (-2) yards and once versus Lebanon for no gain.

2013-Was doing a good job improving by working hard in practice and playing on the JV team before being sidelined with an injury.  Worked hard and came back from the injury, and helped the team make it to the class 6A State Championship Game.

2012-JMO was the leader of the Freshman team; he was the starting QB and started at Free Safety the final 3 games of the year which included the bowl game victory over the NGA Falcons from Fayetteville.  He leads by example, and his actions on the field were what you would expect out of a good leader.  He led the team in passing, was 3rd on the team in rushing and was always the first person on the practice field and the last person to leave.  He was voted as the ‘Most Valuable Player’ by his teammates for his efforts throughout the season.  JMO wore jersey #15 for the 9-0 Freshman team.
