What Does Commando Football Mean To You: Having a strong relationship with your teammates.

Malik was a four year player for the COMMANDOS that consistently improved throughout his career.  He played offensive tackle and defensive end and was one of the hardest workers day in and day out on the team.  Made several starts on the offensive line as he helped open holes for the COMMANDO rushing attack with his blocking.  On defense, he ended his career with 8 tackles, 1 sack, 2 tackles for loss, and 1 QB hurry.  He showed COMMANDO PRIDE in everything he did.  He would come to practice or workouts every day with a smile on face as he worked hard always did his best.  He is a great person to be around and he will be missed by the team.

2016-Made several starts on the offensive line at tackle where he did a great job helping the COMMANDO offense move the ball with his blocking.  He also saw significant playing time at defensive end.  Ended the season with 5 tackles, 1 tackle for lost yardage, and 1 QB hurry.  Had 2 tackles including 1 tackle for loss in the team’s season opening victory against McGavock.  He also tallied stops versus Gallatin, Glencliff, and Hunters Lane.  His QB pressure came in the Glencliff game.

2015-Consistantly improved throughout the season as he worked hard every day at practice, and played on the JV team.  Saw some Friday night game action at defensive end during the season.  Ended the season with 3 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 tackle for loss.  His sack came in the team’s 42-14 win versus Gallatin.  Had a tackle for lost yardage against Hunters Lane.  Also recorded a stop in the Glencliff contest.

2014-Played on the JV team.

2013-Was in the rotation on both sides of the ball for the undefeated Freshman team.  He played end on defense and tackle on offense.  Did a great job for the Freshman squad all season long.  He wore jersey #70 for the Freshman team.
